The Shadow Society is where we get our hands dirty with witchcraft. Every month, we take on a new corner of the occult, cast spells, and work directly with deities we’ve only read about. We get to find out what happens when we actually step into the mysteries ourselves.
We’ve got a whole society of witches experimenting, comparing notes, and seeing just how far we can take our magic. We’ve got the rituals ready and a whole lot of magic to try. You just get to jump in.
And this November? We’re going to meet the Ancestors.

Here’s what we’re getting up to in November.
First up, we’re making contact with ancestors we’ve never even met.
We’re starting by making simple offerings (I usually give mine coffee!) and experimenting with communicating with our ancestors. We’ll see who comes through, what they have to say, and whether they might have a few things to teach us.
We’ll also be digging into the ancestral shadow. What if some of the things you’ve never quite understood about yourself actually run through generations of your family? And what if there are gifts in that ancestral line that you haven’t even begun to tap into?
Then, on November 12, we’re bringing that ancestral connection into a live spellworking ceremony. We’ll call on the power of our ancestral lines and use it to cast spells for something we each want to bring into our lives.
And we’ve also got a knot magic workshop, a guest lecture on homeopathic miasms with Kelly, and an ancestral harvest feast where we’ll gather over good food, swap family stories, and hopefully uncover some juicy family gossip.

Your witchcraft calendar is about to get a lot more interesting.
- A new kind of magic to get your hands into every month. Ever wanted to work with Lilith, Circe, or Baba Yaga? Experiment with glamour magic? Find out what happens when you call on your ancestors? Each month, we’ll spend four weeks getting to know a different kind of magic firsthand, through rituals and initiations. The more you actually do, the more you begin to discover what you’re capable of.
- Live ceremonies & initiations. Come do some serious magic with us! I’ll guide you through journeys, initiations, and spellwork live, and afterward we get to compare notes on what everyone experienced.
- Practice Hall. Think of it as a hands-on witchcraft workshop! We’ll learn a new technique, give it a try together, and see what we discover along the way.
- Guest lecturers. Poisonous plants, graveyard magic, tea leaf reading, even homeopathy. Every month, we bring in a guest practitioner to teach us something fascinating about their specialty. And yes, you get to pick their brains!
- A whole society of witches to hang out with. Come to our end-of-month gatherings for a Witch’s Night, an ancestral feast, or whatever we’ve got planned! And between gatherings, there’s always someone in the forum who wants to hear about your latest magical experiment (including the weird parts).

You’ll be seeing a lot of these three! We’re the ones dreaming up the Mysteries, guiding your rituals, and getting everyone together. Plus, we bring in guest practitioners throughout the year to share their own specialties (and introduce us to some wonderfully strange things).

Founder & Lead Instructor
I’m the founder of Tea & Rosemary, and I’ve been practicing witchcraft for nearly 15 years. I’ve spent a lot of that time exploring the deeper initiatory mysteries, but I’m just as likely to be making a spreadsheet to see which of my spells actually worked. I love a good magical experiment, and I’m a big believer in making witchcraft part of regular life rather than something we save for special occasions.
My own practice changed enormously when I started working directly with deities and exploring the mysteries for myself. That’s a big part of why I created The Shadow Society. I wanted other witches to have the chance to see what they could discover, too.
Brittany
Lead Facilitator
Brittany was a Shadow Society member before she became the witch hosting our gatherings! Her own practice is rooted in Celtic mythology and folk magic, and she has a particular soft spot for the stranger, darker bits of folklore. These days, she’s the one getting us all together for Witch’s Nights, ancestral feasts, and whatever else we’ve dreamed up for the month. Expect good conversation and probably a few stories you won’t hear at a normal dinner party.
Maredy
Resident Tutor
Maredy is a trained Wiccan priestess, herbalist, and language teacher who’s spent over 12 years working with medicinal plants, including six years working with patients in Mexico. She’s also got a fascination with astrology, plant spirits, and magical traditions from around the world. In Practice Hall, she’s the one showing us how to actually do some of this stuff. Come ready to get your hands dirty and add a few new tricks to your Craft.
