THE GOLDEN CAGE
A one-month initiation into seeing the cage you’re living in — and stepping out into a freer life.
They had everything in the garden
but two things:
they could not eat from the tree of knowledge,
and they could not leave.
Even in paradise, a small voice inside whispered: something isn’t right.
Maybe you’ve caught yourself fantasizing about disappearing. A cabin somewhere, far from all of it. No calls you have to take, no yeses you have to give, no one who needs you to smile, to show up, to be a certain way.
Instead, you show up to the family dinner early to help set up, and you smile through it. You log on to the work that takes a little more of you each time, and you stay late anyway. You say yes, even when you know better.
These are the things you feel when parts of your life have become a cage. This month is an initiation into awakening: biting the apple, seeing the walls around your own garden, and choosing to step out.
Who You’ll Work With
LILITH
Adam’s first wife. She who would not bow. She who chose to leave the prison of Paradise and fly to the edge of the world, to live free. She who whispers the words of knowledge.
LUCIFER
The light-bringer. He who would not kneel. He who led the revolt of heaven. He who fell into darkness, carrying the light of illumination and freedom with him.
This Month’s Work
Week One The lecture. The reading. The offering.
The teaching arrives. You’ll choose who you’re working with — Lilith or Lucifer — and make your first offering to them as the month opens.
Week Two The practice.
In ritual, you’ll journey to the garden, meet the serpent, and gain the gnosis of the Tree. Meanwhile, these initiations begin to reveal the bars of the cage in your own life.
Week Three The ceremony.
We gather live on Zoom. You’ll return to the garden and eat of the apple so that you can see Edom below Eden, then journey to the Red Sea, where Lilith flew to be free.
Week Four Practical liberation magic.
Here, our magic turns practical. You’ll work spells for the cage that has appeared for you this month, and take the real steps, in your outer life, to free yourself.
Week Five The circle.
We close the month together, live on Zoom. We’ll share what moved through us as a community, and do a group working to weave the currents of liberation into our lives.

I’ve been practicing the craft for fifteen years, and my work actually began with Lilith — with seeing the bars of the cage in my own life. Since then I’ve worked closely with the currents of liberation: with Lilith and Lucifer, with the serpent who first offered the fruit. Because a witch’s power is her sight, her sovereignty, and her willingness to go where no one else will and free herself.
