Court cards are some of the most difficult cards to read in the Tarot deck. While the Major Arcana cards are relatively easy to apply to any situation, it’s pretty hard to separate court cards from their personality. This issue with the Queen of Wands is no different.
Today, I’ll be going over every single aspect of the Queen of Wands. Hopefully, you will find a description in this post that accurately applies to your reading!
As a whole, the Queens in the Tarot deck represent quiet strength. They are the unseen force behind the King and in some ways, the Queens actually run the show.
Queens have plenty of life experience and are in a position of power to influence things and make changes. In Tarot, the Queens know how to harness the power of feminine energy and get results.
Queen Of Wands:
There are so many different ways to read the Queen of Wands. To help you be more specific, I’ll go over the card and symbolism as well as the general meaning, then I’ll give interpretations of the Queen of Wands in specific situations.
If you want to read about the Queen of Wands in love, career, finances, as advice, as a person, as a yes/no answer, or reversed, feel free to scroll down to the appropriate section.
The visual elements listed here all describe the Rider-Waite Queen of Wands, so you may need to adapt these descriptions based on the deck you’re using. The visuals and symbolism will be different with every deck which makes your reading totally unique.
In the Rider-Waite deck, the Queen of Wands shows a woman sitting on a throne dressed in yellow robes with a yellow crown on her head.
She holds a sunflower in her left hand and the wand with sprouting leaves in her right hand. Her gaze is direct and her posture is confident.
Two lions adorn her throne facing opposite directions. Most Tarot readers believe that these lions symbolize fire and strength. A black cat sits at her feet, symbolizing the shadow or hidden self.
Unlike the Page of Wands and the Knight of Wands, the background isn’t super visible, but we can see the three mountains in the distance.
Queen Of Wands Keywords:
Here are some of the most common keywords for the Queen of Wands.
- Little Sense Of Self
Queen Of Wands General Meaning:
The Queen of Wands is often called the “witch of the Tarot deck.” This is because she represents the magic that can happen when you learn how to harness the energy of the Universe and create a life that flows.
The Queen is aligned with the seasons and with her outer self and shadow self. She represents both the sun and the moon, action and intuition. In fact, she has mastered duality, which is why she is so powerful.
Her occult powers and intuition are hinted at by the black cat on her feet, but what people see from the Queen outwardly is a sense of warmth and confidence. She is truly herself in all interactions.
In a reading, the Queen of Wands meaning is simple. She encourages you to believe in yourself and go after what you want.
Confidence is really important when you pull the Queen of Wands. In almost every reading, this card indicates that our thoughts create our reality. In fact, the Queen’s power isn’t deep or mysterious; she simply believes in herself.
This card reminds you that you are here for a purpose. Even when you feel down or defeated, your confidence and creativity shine through.
The Queen of Wands tells you to be bold and own your power, whatever it may be. In fact, her power isn’t solely feminine; she has masculine attributes, too. This is one of the most well-rounded Tarot cards.
You can feel confident in every part of yourself, even those you believe you must keep hidden. Don’t be afraid to speak up and to shine your light. Your power comes from inside.
Although the Queen of Wands appears naturally powerful and confident, she has done a lot of work to get here. Don’t be afraid to dive into the shadow side, do Inner Child work, or go to therapy. Any of these options will only make you more powerful in the long run. Learn how to create your own reality with your thoughts, beliefs, and words.
The Queen of Wands can indicate that you inspire others around you. Remember to shine your light on others and give people self-assurance, too. You may be the center of attention in a certain area of your life; this can be used to help others. Learning to access your shadow self will help you connect with other people on a much deeper level.
Keep in mind that the Queen of Wands is a passionate, involved, caring mother. She is loyal to her children and ready to defend them at any turn. If it fits your reading, the Queen can indicate that someone is doing a lovely job in motherhood (or even fatherhood!) and is perfectly balancing feminine energy with masculine. She is creative but disciplined.

The Queen says that it is time to be independent, confident, outgoing, and friendly. This is how you will attract the right person. Be self-assured and know what you’re looking for before you dive in. Don’t change to fit anyone else’s desires, but always be true to yourself. Otherwise, your efforts will definitely backfire.
In a relationship, the Queen of Wands suggests that it’s time to be more open with your partner. If you have avoided saying something or have only hinted at what you want, this card says that you must open up and have a clear discussion.

This card encourages you to express your needs (both emotional and physical) in an open and honest way. It’s also an opportunity to connect on a deeper physical level.

In career, the Queen of Wands is always a good sign. It generally means that you can accomplish far more than you even realize.

The Queen of Wands indicates that you have to make it happen. The power is within you alone. You must be “all in” to reach your goals.
To succeed, focus on honing your confidence and drawing on the power of the Universe. If what you’re doing is in alignment with your shadow self and intuition, the energy will simply flow. This is how you can accomplish things that seem impossible.
At work, the Queen of Wands indicates that you’re a great leader or manager. You have a natural inclination for assigning work to others and motivating your employees. Focus on balancing your own career while simultaneously lifting up those around you.
Like any other Wands Court Card, the Queen of Wands can indicate that there is a change happening in your career. The Wands are transformational and the Queen is no exception. All you need to succeed in any field is determination, courage, and passion. The Queen of Wands in almost every placement says that these qualities are already within you; they must simply be accessed.
As career advice, the Queen of Wands indicates that it’s time to harness your energy and get things done. You can accomplish a lot in a short amount of time! Stay efficient and passionate. It is this duality that will see you through. You need both short term and long term vision to succeed.
If you’re experiencing conflict at work, this card suggests that you use charm and motivation to solve your issues instead of blunt force or anger. There is always a smarter, more temperate method that will get you the results you desire.
Queen Of Wands Money:
When it comes to money, the Queen of Wands is extremely pragmatic. She does her research and makes informed decisions. This card indicates that you’re currently making smart financial decisions. You have properly investigated and are following through.
Be careful that in the future, you don’t fall off this course. The Queen of Wands is a gentle warning to stay frugal. However, you have the potential to earn more money. In fact, money is most likely in your future. You should simply be careful that you spend your money in ways that are well-researched and pragmatic, then watch your finances grow.
The Queen of Wands also indicates that you should follow your gut when it comes to money. In the image, the Queen of Wands is actually drawing far more power from the black cat at her feet than we realize. This is your shadow self; if you ignore it, you will struggle to earn money. By integrating both your shadow self and outer self, you can make money flow.
Queen Of Wands Health:
In a health reading, the Queen of Wands is a positive omen. This card indicates that you will soon feel a burst of long-term energy and will heal more quickly than you realize. At the very least, this energy will give you the head start you need to get the results you desire.
Sometimes, the Queen of Wands can also indicate that you must work with the shadow side to remove mental blockages that are causing ill-health in the physical body.
The Queen of Wands typically indicates that health must come to the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual bodies all at once. She is one integrated person; she has mastered her duality.
As health advice, the Queen says that physical activity may be beneficial, if it feels right in your gut. Ultimately, the Queen of Wands says that you will get better or heal. If you’re feeling down, have faith.
Lastly, the Queen of Wands in health can indicate pregnancy or fertility. However, if you’re not actively trying to have a child, don’t worry. This. meaning only applies if this is an answer that you’re seeking!
Queen Of Wands As Spirituality:
The Queen of Wands is a very spiritual card. In a spiritual reading, she indicates that it is time to integrate your physical and spiritual self into one. Duality must be mastered.
Both your outer and inner personalities are essential parts of you. The Queen card says that it’s time to see all things as connected, including both parts of yourself. This is how you will master the flow of energy.
This card can also be an indication that you must tune into your intuition. Develop your instincts so that your intuition grows stronger. The Queen has spent her life practicing to hone her intuition and you can do the same.
Sometimes, the Queen of Wands can indicate that witchcraft may be of interest to you. She sits with her Familiar at her feet (the black cat), meaning that you may enjoy spirit work or development of your psychic abilities. Alternatively, you might want to connect with nature in a deeper, more profound way.
Queen Of Wands As A Person:
The Queen of Wands is a woman (ages 25-50) with blonde hair and green/blue eyes. She is a charismatic, outgoing, and loyal leader and mother.
However, I recommend that you don’t get too hung up on the physical attributes of the Queen. In my experience, this card can represent just about anyone (even an elderly man!) as long as the qualities fit the reading.
The Queen of Wands as a person is someone who lights up the room when they enter. Their personality is sunny, happy, and competent. They are typically the center of attention.
This person is passionate and extroverted. They’re friendly and social; they may naturally draw people towards them, but they also spread happiness.
The Queen of Wands also represents someone who is confident. They know what they want and are willing to go after it. No one can shake their sense of self.
Even though this person is fiery, they’re also smart. They know how to turn a confrontation to their favor without blowing things out of proportion. They are focused on their goals and are quite passionate when they set their mind to something.
At their worst, this individual could thrive on excitement or even drama. They might be fueled by things “happening,” even if they’re negative events. However, they’re also loyal and protective of those they care about.
This person is very individualistic. This is not a group person. Instead, this individual is probably a good leader, but they might not be great at following the lead of others. Generally, though, they are positive and up-lifting. This is a person you want on your side!
Queen Of Wands Yes Or No:
When you pull the Queen of Wands in a yes or no reading, you can be pretty confident that the answer is yes. This card should give you confidence. If you’re considering your next move, the Queen tells you that you have mastered the skills you need; go for it.
This card is also a sign that your thoughts shape your reality. Anything can be a positive answer if you simply make it so.
Reversed, the Queen of Wands generally indicates that the answer is no. It counsels you to reevaluate what you’re seeking, because it may not be in your best interest.
Make sure you’re doing things because you truly feel they’re right, not because you’re listening to the advice of other people or are wanting to impress others. This card counsels you to go inside and listen to your intuition.
Queen Of Wands Advice:
As advice, the Queen of Wands says to face things head on. It’s time to harness your energy and produce the results that you desire.
Your thoughts control reality. If you’re not getting the results that you want, the answer is within you. Alter your course of action and reassess your thoughts. Are you holding yourself back in some way?
The Queen of Wands also encourages you to inspire other people. Go into the world and shine your light on others; you will all reap the benefits.
Generally, this card means that it’s time to take action. Go after what you want! You are ready and able to succeed if you choose to try. Enthusiasm and passion are the most important ingredients.
In group situations, the Queen of Wands tells you to take the lead. Again, you have all of the capabilities you need to succeed. Be brave and push forward. Lead by example.
Symbolism In The Queen Of Wands:
In every Tarot card, there is a whole myriad of symbols. In some readings, the symbolism will be extremely important, so I’m including the main symbols on the Queen of Wands here.
Keep in mind that symbolism will vary based on the deck you’re using. I recommend looking closely at the pictures on your cards if you’re not using the Rider-Waite deck. The symbolism of the card you actually pulled is much more important than the general meaning! This is one of the reasons why I love using varied decks.
The Queen’s throne is decorated by an image of two lions facing in separate directions. They indicate strength, courage, royalty, and protection. This is the outward show of force; the Queen’s personality is large and confident.
The lions can also indicate that it’s time to have courage, both in your endeavors and in yourself. This is the way to gain true power. Courage comes from within.
In the Rider-Waite deck, the Queen is holding a sunflower, but her grown and throne are also adorned by sunflowers. These symbolize her outer energy and her sunny personality as well as joy, fertility, and reaping the benefits of life (as the flowers finally bloom).
The sunflowers also indicate that the Queen possesses all of the fiery qualities of the Wands, yet they are expressed in a delicate, controlled manner. She is not angry but rather beautiful in her passion.
I personally love the symbolism of the black cat sitting at the Queen of Wand’s feet. The cat symbolizes the shadow self which is the lesser-known inner part of the Queen. It indicates that she has successfully integrated both pieces of herself. She shows the blooms of the sunflower and dresses in sunny colors outwardly, but inwardly she draws on her deeper, darker power from the cat.
The black cat can also symbolize witchcraft, the occult, or the witch’s Familiar spirit. Generally, it demonstrates independence. The Queen is competent in a group (indicated by the multiple lions) but is also powerful on her own; her power comes from within. Others may not see this, but it is always there.
Lastly, the cat indicates that the Queen of Wands is much more perceptive than others realize. She may be sunny and charismatic, but she also notices all things and follows her gut feelings when it doubt.
Of course, the Queen holds a wand in her right hand. Like every other Wands Court Card, the wand symbolizes action. The leaves sprouting from the wand indicates that you are always growing and learning, even when you feel that you have reached maturity.
Queen Of Wands Reversed:
Personality-wise, the Queen of Wands reversed can indicate someone who is strong but stubborn, selfish, or insecure. Sometimes, her strength is just a show. Inside, she is actually terrified.
The Queen of Wands reversed suggests that someone is being far too hot-headed. This is stemming from an overly emotional place; it’s time to let logic take the wheel and deal with your emotions in a rational manner. Both logic and emotions should partner to make decisions. Deal with the inner fear that causes you to lash out.
The Queen of Wands is someone who gets things done, but reversed, this can go too far. She might get her way by intimidating people and refusing to listen to the opinions of others. This is the boss who dominates the workplace and decimates anyone who goes against her. Sometimes, the Queen of Wands reversed can even be a bit cliquey in a group atmosphere. She thrives on drama and discord because it gives her a sense of power.
This card can alternatively indicate that you’re is trying to fade into the background, afraid to stand out. You may feel rejected socially or have experienced a clear loss of friends or drop in social status.
In a relationship, the Queen of Wands reversed can suggest that jealousy and insecurity are running the show. It’s time to focus on what’s true instead of on drama. Cut to the chase and utilize logic in your discussions.
The Queen of Wands reversed can suggest that the warmth has gone out of a relationship. It’s time to refocus and see if you can reignite the spark or if you must move on. However, you may need to go inside and develop your confidence before you can tackle problems in your relationship.
Ultimately, you need to stick up for yourself in a way that is actionable and authentic. Using dramatics or anger doesn’t constitute authenticity. Find a way to speak and live your truth that is logical and kind.
Be careful that you don’t let your temper run out of control. Your partner may feel overwhelmed because you have such strong anger but simultaneously need a huge amount of attention from them. This card can indicate anger and neediness. Work to cultivate your inner confidence so that you don’t rely on your partner to boost you up.
If you’re single, the Queen of Wands reversed suggests that you have had these temper issues in past relationships or friendships. Now is the time to go within and work on your own lack of confidence before entering into a relationship.
In the more positive sense, the Queen of Wands reversed can indicate that you’re in touch with your shadow self. However, you may also be quite introverted socially. This isn’t necessarily a bad thing! This card indicates that you need time alone to connect with your intuition.
The Queen of Wands reversed counsels you to focus on your inner self and build your sense of authentic confidence. Don’t pay attention to what others think; formulate your own set of beliefs.
True confidence comes from the inside. You may appear self-centered or might exaggerate your dramatic qualities in an effort to create confidence, but you will only feel self-assured when you do the inner work.
In career, you may feel drained or negative. Your work feels unsatisfying. It’s important to find your motivation. You may need to question what you truly want out of career; this will take a conscious effort.
The Queen of Wands reversed in a money reading indicates that you are mismanaging your finances. Perhaps you’re being too strict with your money and come off as cheap, or maybe you are spending your money as soon as it hits your wallet. Either way, it’s time to find balance using your intuition.
Ultimately, the Queen of Wands reversed (in any situation) counsels you to go inside and develop your confidence. She also suggests that you should balance your emotions with logic and work to be more rational.
Court cards are some of the most difficult cards to read in the Tarot deck. While the Major Arcana cards are relatively easy to apply to any situation, it’s pretty hard to separate court cards from their personality. This issue with the Knight of Wands is no different.
Today, I’ll be going over every single aspect of the Knight of Wands. Hopefully, you will find a description in this post that accurately applies to your reading!
Knights in the Tarot deck are action-oriented people. They’re already in the middle of doing their action (unlike Pages, who are still planning or considering the action) and they are single-minded in their intensity.
Most Knights don’t have the wisdom of the Queens or Kings. Although they have a bit more experience than Pages, they’re young and volatile. Knights tend to be extreme or even a bit fanatic. They will stick to their path no matter what.
If you pull a Knight card, it generally denotes intensity of thought or someone who is single-minded in their quest.
Knight Of Wands:
There are so many different ways to read the Knight of Wands. To help you be more specific in your reading, I’ll go over the card and symbolism as well as the general meaning, then I’ll give interpretations of the Knight of Wands in specific situations.
If you want to read about the Knight of Wands in love, career, finances, as advice, as a person, as a yes/no answer, or reversed, feel free to scroll down to the appropriate section.
The visual elements listed here all describe the Rider-Waite Knight of Wands, so you may need to adapt these descriptions based on the deck you’re using. The visuals and symbolism will be different with every deck which makes your reading totally unique.
In the Rider-Waite deck, the Knight of Wands card shows a young man riding his horse in full armor. He is wearing a yellow robe decorated with salamanders as well as a helmet with red plumes.
The Knight holds a wand in his right hand; leaves are sprouting from the wand, just like in the Page of Wands card. However, unlike the Page of Wands, the Knight is depicted in action.
Just like the other Wands Court Cards, the background in the Knight of Wands card is desert-like. There are three mountains in the distance. The landscape is hot, barren, and extremely orange.
The Knight of Wands is associated with the element of fire. However, there is some debate as to his astrological association. Some Tarot readers feeling that he clearly represents Sagittarius (travel & quests), some believe that he is Leo in nature (his desire for greatness), and others think that he is clearly Aries (selfish, confident, and courageous).
Personally, I think that the Knight of Wands is a mix of the fire signs. To give him just a single association seems unfair. He is out for glory (Leo), will travel to get what he wants (Sagittarius), and is single-minded and fearless (Aries).
If I had to pick, I would give him the sign of Aries, mainly because he is young, brash, selfish, and quick-to-the-draw. However, you should go with the sign that feels right to you.

This card indicates that you already have the vision, but you need to put it into action. There is no time like the present. Be bold and courageous and you can accomplish anything that you want.
That doesn’t mean that you won’t encounter difficulties. In fact, this card can indicate that there is “danger” ahead, but it’s nothing that you can’t handle if you’re willing to be brave.

In a relationship, the Knight of Wands can mean a few different things. Firstly, this card can refer to a period in your love life that feels erratic or unstable. Your relationship could be very up and down and you can’t figure out how to stabilize things.
This is a difficult place to be in. The Knight isn’t the most mature, so there may be a lot of self-absorption in the relationship. If you wish to remain in the partnership, then you will need to work on your communication and your reactions in order to temper the relationship.
Alternatively, the Knight of Wands can indicate that your relationship needs more excitement and passion. Break out of your routine with actions. Travel to new places, meet new people together, and go on adventures.
This can be as simple as trying a new activity in your area or finding a different trail or park to explore. In this scenario, the Knight of Wands is telling you that your relationship needs change in order to re-inspire passion.

Romantically, the Knight of Wands as feelings can mean that the you find someone physically attractive on more than a platonic level. You’re feeling passionate, although there’s no guarantee that these feelings will last, as the Knight of Wands can indicate fleeting, erratic emotions.
However, the Knight of Wands can also indicate feelings that are self-centered. He is single-minded in his journey and doesn’t take the needs of the people or kingdom into consideration as the King does. The Knight sees only his task and sets off to achieve it without much forethought.

If you’re beginning something new at work or are even starting a new job or business, the Knight of Wands is telling you to go full steam ahead. You have the motivation and the tools to accomplish what you desire.
However, the Knight of Wands can also indicate that you’re feeling stuck. You may feel that there are no new opportunities open to you, even though you want something to change. This card indicates that you will have to actively seek out opportunities; they won’t just fall into your lap. Motivation and action must come from within, even if you need to expend extra effort.
Ultimately, the Knight of Wands in career is a really positive card. Whatever you’re considering, this card tells you to go for it! This is the time to take risks and break out of your shell.

Sometimes, the Knight of Wands can represent a swift career move or change. You may jump to a different company or change careers altogether. This can be a really beneficial change, but you should also remember to weigh your pros and cons before making any big decisions.
Knight Of Wands Money:
In a money reading, the Knight of Wands is a good omen. This card can indicate that you’ll be receiving a burst of unexpected money soon.
However, you should be extremely careful not to blow through any money you have now or might receive in the future. Although the Knight is exciting, he isn’t the most responsible. He spends all of his money on his next quest, only to change his destination at the last moment and start something different.
The Knight of Wands can be a warning that you’re going to “burn through” your money if you continue your current habits. This can indicate pursuits for the self like shopping, gambling, etc., but can even signify that you’re lending out too much money or are being too generous with friends and family.
In a money reading, the Knight of Wands encourages you to think long-term. It’s great that you’re excited about things in the present, but try to keep your enthusiasm in perspective and plan for the future, too.
The Knight of Wands usually means that money either is or will flow easily, but you should be careful how you spend it in order to keep this flow going.
Knight Of Wands Health:
If you pull the Knight of Wands in a health reading, it is a clear sign to take action. In fact, the Knight can indicate that your health won’t improve unless you personally change something. Don’t look to others for answers, because the solutions must come from you alone.
This can feel really frustrating if you’re relying on a doctor or medical professional. The Knight is basically indicating that you won’t get what you need from the people in charge.
However, the Knight wants you to take personal action. Do research online, seek out second opinions, look to natural resources, etc. The Universe will bring you what you need if you’re willing to put the effort in. Ultimately, the Knight is a positive health card, should you choose to take the necessary action.
If you’re facing a health decision, the Knight of Wands tells you to make it sooner rather than later for optimal results.
When it comes to mental health, the Knight of Wands also indicates that you need to make a change. Get outside, physically exercise, or actively fix things in your life that are causing issues. With this card, your mental health is in your own hands. When you make changes, you will reap the rewards.
If you’re drawing the Knight of Wands as an “omen” card concerning health, it means that an unexpected boost of energy is coming your way. In placements regarding health that are out of your hands, the Knight is a good sign and means that you can expect things to improve.
Knight Of Wands As Spirituality:
If you draw the Knight of Wands in a spirituality reading, you’ll know that something new is coming your way. Maybe you recently stumbled upon something different that spiritually intrigues you, or maybe you’re still waiting for a change.
Regardless, the Knight says that you should dive in and explore anything new that calls to you. In fact, this is the perfect time to change things up. It’s important that you follow what rings true for you.
Although I generally think the Knight is a selfish card, when it comes to spirituality, I see this as a positive attribute. The Knight of Wands is telling you to follow your own instincts, just like the Knight does. He literally does not care what others think; his actions are beneficial for him alone.
Spiritually, you may need to be a bit more selfish or introspective. What do you truly want? Follow what appeals to that little voice deep inside.
The Knight of Wands also indicates that you need to take action in your spiritual life. Do some research or ritual work, depending on your spiritual beliefs. It’s time to stop thinking and to start doing.
Knight Of Wands As A Person:
Although the Knight of Wands generally indicates a young male (in his 20s or 30s), take this description with a grain of salt. In my experience, the Knight of Wands can just as easily indicate someone with the qualities of the card rather than someone who fits the exact physical description.
This individual is charming and confident. They’re not afraid of anything; they believe in themselves entirely, although they also have the potential to be a bit self-centered or selfish.
The Knight of Wands as a person can also indicate someone who is rebellious or restless. They do what they want, when they want. However, they can be charming and can easily draw others in.
The Knight of Wands is daring and confident. This is definitely the person you’ll want to go on adventures with, but they aren’t the most steadfast or consistent. The Knight changes his mind on a dime, leaving a trail of confused people in his wake. He is always seeking growth and adventure, sometimes at the cost of others.
Lastly, this individual can be really sexy or appealing. The Knight has a lot of natural charisma. However, you shouldn’t count on him to be there for you long-term.
Knight Of Wands Yes Or No:
The Knight of Wands as a yes/no card indicates a definite yes. In fact, this is one of the most positive cards to pull when you’re looking for a definitive yes/no answer.
The Knight can also indicate a quick yes. This is a card of action. However, the action can either come from you (i.e. you must actually do something to achieve the result you desire) or it can come spontaneously from outside resources.
Reversed, the Knight of Wands isn’t necessarily a no, but it does indicate that something is wrong about the situation. There is a crucial piece of information that you’re missing because you’re pushing ahead without planning. Slow down and take stock of your situation. The way forward may be different than you originally pictured.
Knight Of Wands Advice:
When you pull the Knight of Wands as advice, this card shows one very clear message: it’s time to act! Go after what you have been dreaming about.
It’s time to embrace spontaneity and get out there and do it. Don’t let fear or doubt hold you back. The Knight believes in himself and knows that he will be successful at whatever he does. Embody those qualities.
Whether you’re looking for advice in a love, career, health, spiritual, or money reading, the message is that results come from inside of you. In fact, only you can find the motivation to just do it. The Universe has your back, but you need to put in the work to get what you want through actions.
The Knight of Wands as advice can also indicate that you need to see something through. The Knight has a bad track record of leaving projects when he is no longer interested. He bounces from place to place, doing whatever he feels in the moment. However, this isn’t truly the way to accomplish something. If you find that you’re stuck and want to run, the Knight of Wands may indicate that you should push through and finish what you started to really see the benefits.
Symbolism In The Knight Of Wands:
In every Tarot card, there is a whole myriad of symbols. In some readings, the symbolism will be extremely important, so I’m including the main symbols on the Knight of Wands card here.
Salamanders are actually the elementals of fire. They’re really important, powerful creatures! In this context, I feel that the salamanders on the Knight’s armor represent transformation. Typically, transformation through fire is rather quick. They also represent endurance and passion.
These salamanders can alternatively represent elementals wanting to work with you, if that correlates with your reading.
Orange is a generally positive color. It symbolizes non-romantic passion and determination. In this circumstance, I feel that this landscape is showing how the Knight can create something out of nothing. He is determined to accomplish his goals, even in the middle of a barren desert; he manages to harness his passion for action because it comes from inside.
The three mountains typically denote obstacles and goals. He will climb the mountain (the obstacle) but will also reach the peak (his goal). Three is the number of creativity, so he will use his mind as well as his physical strength.
In this card, the Knight of Wands is actively riding on his horse. He’s actually in the midst of moving as this image is captured. To me, the Knight on his horse represents immediate action and taking control. In fact, the Knight has full control of the reigns and therefore the situation. He is riding full-steam ahead with no fear.
However, the horse itself is brown and represents stamina and reliability. Even though the Knight is pushing forward with a burst of energy, he is also ready for a long journey. He won’t quit after a short time but will maintain his stamina over the long haul.
Knight Of Wands Reversed:
Reversed, the Knight of Wands can indicate that you have pent-up energy that you can’t release. You probably feel as though nothing is happening fast enough no matter what you do. There may be delays from outside sources or blockages that you just can’t get past.
In this scenario, the Knight of Wands is telling you that you must alter something about your path. Full-steam ahead is not the best option here. Instead, take stock of where you are and adjust the plan a bit. Something is off or missing.
It’s OK to feel frustrated about delays in your situation. You may not have the power to control the outcome and this is something that you want to push through, but the Universe is telling you to wait and listen to that small voice inside of you. This is the time for reflection, not for action. Don’t get depressed over your lack of success. Instead, use failure as a learning opportunity.
Alternatively, the Knight of Wands can indicate that you’re being far too impulsive. You aren’t spending enough time on any one task and are rushing from project to project. Slow down and focus on quality over quantity.
Impulsivity is typically the main issue for the Knight of Wands reversed. This can also pop up in friendships or romantic relationships. You may be saying things that you later regret or trying to make sure everything works out in your relationship immediately. However, good things take time. Trust is build over time.
You are probably afraid of waiting because you would need to confront the feelings inside of you. By acting, you avoid thinking about how you feel. However, the Knight of Wands reversed indicates that you must slow down and work through your feelings before you can change anything about your situation.
In love, the Knight of Wands reversed indicates that someone is acting unstable, reckless, impatient, or is anti-commitment. There can be a sort of back-and-forth quality to any relationship; things seem extremely unsteady.
Instead of pushing through and trying to “fix” the relationship immediately, step back and listen to your gut. It’s hard to take your foot off the petal when a relationship feels turbulent, but it’s necessary to preserve your sense of self.
The other person may be acting bored or restless in the relationship. Remember that you can’t control others; the only person you can protect is you. This may be a time to reevaluate your principles in a relationship and set clear boundaries.
Alternatively, the Knight of Wands reversed in love can mean that there are changes in the environment causing issues in the relationship. Again, the answer is to simply wait. Don’t do anything rash. Wait for the changes to settle.
If you’re single, the Knight of Wands reversed can be a warning that you will meet someone incredibly charming and exciting, but they will be less serious than they appear. Don’t get overly involved. Protect your feelings at all costs and move slowly so that they are forced to reveal their true colors.
In career, the Knight of Wands reversed can mean that you feel like you’re drifting. You may not feel truly fulfilled in any situation, or you may be stuck in an unpredictable career or field. You might dislike your job or field, but you don’t know what’s out there that you would enjoy. Right now, you’re feeling extremely drained.
The Knight reversed is telling you to slow down and listen to your gut. The answer is inside you; no one has control over your destiny but you. You may need to push through a period of discomfort in order to get where you want to go, but long-term career planning is essential here. What do you really want? Figure out a plan to get there.
The Knight of Wands reversed means virtually the same thing for finances as the upright Knight does. The message is simple: don’t overspend. Be wary of poor decisions. In fact, you need to be planning financially for the long-term instead of spending on frivolous items or activities right now. Slow down and reflect before spending.
This card can also mean that in the past, you were reckless with money. Now, this is coming back to bite you. There is no way through but forward, however you can plan for the future and decide how to spend money you earn from here.
Moon-Ascendant aspects show how you express your emotions around others. These aspects also indicate how emotional you appear to other people.
With the beneficial Moon-Ascendant aspects, you not only have a healthy means of expressing emotion, but you’re able to pick up on and adapt to the emotions of other people.
With the more difficult aspects, you either can’t express your emotions or they come out sideways. You still intuit how others feel, but you don’t react to those emotions in a way that truly serves you.
Ultimately, Moon-Ascendant aspects are beneficial to learn about because by working through these issues, you can express a more authentic version of your emotional self.
Moon Conjunct Ascendant
With Moon conjunct Ascendant, it’s hard for you to hide your emotional self. This aspect means that you emotions are on display for everyone else to see; how you feel is obvious to others.
You interact with other people almost automatically through your learned habits. In fact, your emotions dictate many of your outward reactions. Your relationship skills were conditioned at an early age by your family (particularly by your mother or female caretaker).
Moon conjunct Ascendant means that you’re really impressionable. You pick up a lot of energy from the environment and are sensitive to even the slightest changes.
The way that you present yourself may be confusing to others because you give off mixed signals. It’s as though who you are changes as your emotions change. Even your physical appearance may appear to morph with your moods.
Moon conjunct Ascendant can indicate that you try to keep others at arm’s length but simultaneously desire deep relationships. In fact, your outer personality is filled with these types of contradictions. Others just can’t figure out what you actually want. This is because your outer personality is ruled by emotions rather than logic, so you change as your moods change.
Your facial expressions reveal many of your moods, even if you do try to hide them. However, most people with Moon conjunct Ascendant don’t even realize that they appear moody to others. They simply feel that their personality is who they are in the moment. They don’t realize that their extreme sensitivity and reactions are confusing to others.
With Moon conjunct Ascendant, your emotions are often based on what you interpret others are feeling about you. If you sense that someone has a negative thought towards you, your whole mood and persona will change. You might be extremely sensitive and reactive with this placement.
If your Moon conjunct Ascendant is in the 1st house, you will have frequent, outward emotional displays. If your Moon conjunct Ascendant (or either planet/point) sits in the 12th house then these emotional displays will be hidden or below the surface.
You have a strong attachment to family, your childhood, and your home, but this can also make you moody. All of these topics will trigger emotional responses that you can’t contain.
With this conjunction, you can be needy or dependent based on your mood. You want to care for others or desire to be cared for in some way. Emotions simply don’t understand boundaries, and neither does your outer persona. However, this can shift quickly based on your mood.
Some people with the Moon conjunct Ascendant aspect show these qualities negatively as moodiness, too much sensitivity, and taking innocuous things personally. Others, with a bit of work, are more positive and use their emotions in an empathetic way towards others. There is a whole spectrum with this aspect!
If you have Moon conjunct Ascendant, it’s helpful for you to find an outlet to express your emotions. The specific outlet will depend on the sign that the conjunction is in. Some people enjoy art, journaling, exercise, performing, etc. You simply need a way to get the emotions out.
Be careful that you don’t take things too personally. You may read into every movement and facial expression that you see on someone else. You can be extreme sensitive and reactive, but you can use this for good because you have so much empathy, too. You must simply incorporate a bit of logic to temper your reactions.
You should also work to place less importance on how others see you. Sometimes, you allow the moods of others to dictate your own emotions. Work on defining clear boundaries with empathy and kindness.
Moon Trine Ascendant
When other people first meet you, they instantly feel safe and secure. You give off a calming emotional energy with this Moon trine Ascendant aspect.
You have a lot of insight into the behavior and moods of others. In fact, it can seem like you have an uncanny ability to see what others are feeling, even when they’re not expressing it.
Unlike the conjunction, you’re very articulate when expressing your emotions. This is something that comes naturally with Moon trine Ascendant. You know how to speak about your own emotions without triggering others or making them feel insecure.
You’re highly adaptable to the feelings of others. You sense when someone is feeling a certain way and will change yourself to fit the situation, but you manage to do this in an authentic manner, remaining true to yourself.
Unfortunately, Moon trine Ascendant also means that you’re extremely sensitive. Although this is often a positive quality, extreme sensitivity can cause a lot of emotional pain, too.
Your goal is to incorporate logic into your emotional landscape in order to reason with your sensitivity. Don’t lose your empathy in the process, but simply work with facts to ground yourself so you don’t spiral out of control.
With the Moon trine Ascendant aspect, you probably have a deep connection to your family or town/country of origin. Although this can definitely cause some emotional strain, this is also a quality that grounds you when your feelings are too intense.
Moon Sextile Ascendant
With Moon sextile Ascendant, you have some natural abilities with your emotions, but most emotional qualities need to be developed.
This aspect means that you have the opportunity to learn how to pick up on the moods of people around you. Right now, you probably sense emotions to some degree, but you haven’t quite refined this practice. It doesn’t come as naturally to you as it does to those with the trine.
You’re probably very good at gauging the moods of groups in general. When you walk into a room, you can sense the emotional tone of the gathering.
This is a skill that you can hone and make more conscious. It can open up career opportunities for you or even help you in your personal life.
You also have the opportunity with Moon sextile Ascendant to learn how to show your emotions in an authentic way. You sometimes feel like you aren’t quite sure how to reveal your emotions to others, but a bit of practice will help you gain confidence in your emotional expression.
However, your sensitivity can be your weakness. As a child, you probably felt uncontrollable sadness when you learned about painful things in the world. Again, you have the opportunity to overcome this using logic.
Moon Opposition Ascendant
With Moon opposition Ascendant, you are highly sensitive to the impressions of others. It can be emotionally draining to you if you feel like someone else doesn’t like you, even in the smallest way.
However, you put off a cold, guarded, and detached vibe. Other people might see you as completely unemotional, or believe that your emotions are locked deep down.
With Moon opposition Ascendant, you’re very good at hiding your emotions from the outer world. Unless you want people to know you feel a certain way, no one will see even a hint of your true emotional landscape.
Once you’re in a relationship, this all changes. Moon opposition Ascendant means that you might look for a partner who will emotionally support you. You may even want someone to “fix” your emotional problems. This is because you don’t know how to do the emotional work yourself.
You look for emotional interdependence in relationships with Moon opposition Ascendant. Although this makes for really caring relationships, it can cross over into codependency. You want your partner to figure out what you need because even you don’t know.
Alternatively, if you partner doesn’t give you enough emotional support, you may feel stifled or unappreciated. Again, this is because you don’t really have a grasp on your own emotional needs. They are all completely unconscious.
The goal with Moon opposition Ascendant is to take responsibility for your own emotions and learn to be your own person, separate from others. See that it’s alright to share your emotions with others, even publicly, as long as they’re yours.
Learn how to figure out what your emotional needs are, then try to authentically show them to others. The first step is to go within, because if you don’t know what you want, you won’t be able to explain it to other people.
Moon Square Ascendant
With Moon square Ascendant, the way that you express yourself conflicts with how you truly feel emotionally. Your words, tone, or even body language is inaccurate or off.
It’s easy for you to misinterpret how others feel about you, especially when you first meet them. You typically interpret others’ feelings to be stronger than they actually are.
For example, someone may dislike one thing you said, but you interpret this to mean they dislike you. Because you’re so sensitive to the energy of others, you quickly blow things out of proportion.
Depending on the signs involved in this Moon square Ascendant aspect, you can also take rejection quite personally. You react to rejection based on the signs involved, as well.
You typically don’t express your true emotions with Moon square Ascendant, at least not in public. You’re scared of how others would respond to your authentic feelings, so you hide them away.
Although you sometimes shield your emotions, because you don’t want to elicit a negative reaction from other people, you also hide them to avoid relationship problems. However, this increases your inner tension. At some point, your emotions will come out sideways, either through passive-aggressive behavior or angry blowouts.
Moon square Ascendant usually develops because you couldn’t show your mother how you truly felt, at least some of the time. She probably reacted in the manner of the moon sign; for example, with Moon in Aries, the mother would have gotten angry when you revealed emotions that she didn’t like. Your mother unconsciously taught you that your emotions should not be seen by others.
Her reactions also taught you to be extra sensitive to the emotions of those around you in order to avoid causing upset. However, as an adult, this no longer serves you.
As you grow with this placement, you must learn to be less self-conscious about saying what you feel. Sure, your expression of emotions may elicit a negative reaction from someone, but learn to discern whether this reaction is towards what you’re feeling or you as a person.
Ultimately with Moon square Ascendant, you need to develop a sense of emotional security within yourself. Learn that it’s alright if others don’t approve of you as long as you approve of yourself. You will feel much more content within yourself when you finally express what you authentically feel.
Court cards are some of the most difficult cards to read in the Tarot deck. While the Major Arcana cards are relatively easy to apply to any situation, it’s pretty hard to separate court cards from their personality. This issue with the Page of Wands is no different.
Today, I’ll be going over every single aspect of the Page of Wands. Hopefully, you will find a description in this post that accurately applies to your reading!
As a whole, Pages represent clumsy, inexperienced, young people. However, they also represent new energy that hasn’t fully solidified.

It’s important that when you get the extra cash, you budget for the future. Try to be realistic instead of overly-optimistic.
The Page of Wands has a tendency to be short-sighted, so when it comes to money, the Page can mean that you’re doing well now but aren’t thinking about the future. You may learn some hard lessons if you don’t start being a bit more practical with money.
However, the Page of Wands is generally a good card if you’re just starting to make more money. It means you’re at the very beginning! You will need to learn wisdom when it comes to handling money, but you can generally expect your finances to grow.

When it comes to spirituality, the Page of Wands indicates that you’re beginning a new journey, whether or not you realize it.
However, this doesn’t always mean that you’re changing your beliefs. Instead, it may indicate that you have discovered something new about your spirituality.
For example, if you’re Pagan and pulled the Page of Wands, it could indicate that it’s time to work with a new deity or learn a new skill.
The Page of Wands means that you should stay curious and open. Signs will appear to you that indicate what your next path should be, and they won’t be subtle. You will certainly know what this card means in the near future if you don’t already!
When you discover what you next want to learn on your spiritual journey, the Page of Wands counsels you to take action. It will be new and you may feel out of your depth, but you need to keep the spark going and learn all that you can.
Don’t be a passive recipient, but instead be an active participant in your spiritual journey.
Page Of Wands As A Person:
If you’re looking at the Page of Wands as a person, then it’s probably representing either a young person or someone who acts youthful.
The Page is typically feminine energy, but I find in my readings that it can also represent someone with boyish energy; someone not quite a man yet. Don’t focus too much on the gender of this card because I find that it’s fluid depending on the situation.
This person who the Page of Wands represents is passionate and excitable. They’re not afraid to take risks. In fact, they might even be thrill seekers.
Because the Page of Wands represents Sagittarius, this person might love traveling to new locations or learning new things. It’s all about the new experiences!
This individual might be bubbly and friendly. They enjoy meeting different people from various cultures.
However, they might have a lot of ideas but lack followthrough. This is the individual who loves new opportunities, but might always want something new instead of seeing through old ideas through.
Like a child, the Page of Wands is excited by all they discover in the world. They want to learn and experience, but they forget about what they’re leaving behind them. They’re probably a bit distractible.
Typically (though not always) the Page of Wands represents someone sociable. However they’re ultimately self-centered, not necessarily out of ego but because they have a childlike mind.
The Page of Wands is extremely positive, almost to their own detriment, so they might get in a bit of trouble. They always bounce back in the end, though!
This person forgives the shortcomings of others and sees the best in everyone. Again, this might be to their own detriment, but they’re a great person to have on your side.
Page Of Wands Yes Or No:
If you’re pulling the Page of Wands for a Yes or No answer, you can be assured that it’s a definite yes, at least when the card is upright.
The Page of Wands indicates new beginnings in a fiery, actionable way. In fact, it really couldn’t be more of a yes!
Reversed, the Page of Wands usually means not yet. It’s not a definite no, but it does mean that you either need more information or that you/the situation must mature first.
Page Of Wands Advice:
Although you will want to read your specific section when you’re looking for advice on a situation, the Page of Wands generally means that it’s time to take action. Whatever you’re considering, go do it!
However, the Page also means that you should figure out a rational way to achieve what you desire. Stay grounded by follow your intuition and go with your ideas. The sky is the limit as long as you focus.
Embody the strengths you see in the people who inspire you. The Page of Wands as advice says you can achieve whatever you want as long as you find a viable path!
Symbolism In The Page Of Wands:
In every Tarot card, there is a whole myriad of symbols. In some readings, the symbolism will be extremely important, so I’m including the main symbols on the Page of Wands here.
Salamanders are actually the elementals of fire. They’re really important, powerful creatures! In this context, I feel that the salamanders on the Page’s robe represent transformation. Typically, transformation through fire is rather quick.
These salamanders can also literally represent elementals wanting to work with you, if that correlates with your reading.
Orange is a generally positive color. It symbolizes non-romantic passion and determination. In this circumstance, I feel like the card is orange because the Page of Wands is so excitable and actionable without being too angry.
However, this orange landscape also refers to a desert. To me, this means that opportunity can be found in the most unlikely of places. The Page is excited and motivated even in the middle of the desert.
The fact that the Page is standing still suggests that he hasn’t actually taken action yet. His staff is still firmly planted on the ground. This means that it’s time to put your thoughts into action. Get up and go!
Page Of Wands Reversed:
Reversed, the Page of Wands can mean that you’re simply too immature or too inexperienced to get what you desire. This card says that you need time to grow and learn before diving into anything.
The Page of Wands reversed is typically a sign of caution. It doesn’t mean you should quit altogether, but it tells you to slow down and reevaluate at each step.
In love, the Page of Wands reversed suggests that either your relationship, your partner, or you are too immature, impatient, or naive. You aren’t contributing to the relationship in a mature way.
Alternatively, the Page of Wands reversed can indicate a mean-tempered person or bully. There may be a lack of listening in the relationship.
You might be feeling self-conscious or drained. There have been some rather unexpected events that left you with questions. You may not know what to do or can’t clearly see a next step. In your relationship, you may be feeling a bit lost.
The Page of Wands reversed is a sign to turn inward and tune into your intuition. The answers are all inside you, but it may take time to access them. Separate from others for a period and focus on inner reflection so that you can hear the quiet whisper inside.
Alternatively, the Page of Wands can mean that you jumped in too quickly. Now, you’re feeling like you made the wrong choice by entering into the relationship.
However, don’t forget your personal power. You always have a choice, even when you’re in a relationship. Take back control of your life and make it happen.
If you’re single, the Page of Wands reversed suggests that you have been pushing too hard for a relationship. It’s time to turn inward and do the work; when you’re ready, a relationship will come to you naturally. There’s no need to chase aggressively after what you want because the Universe already has things set in motion.
In career, the Page of Wands reversed can mean that you feel a lack of direction and inspiration. You’re looking for motivation outside of yourself, but everything you need is found within. It’s likely that there’s something fundamentally wrong with what you’re doing and that your gut feeling stops you from progressing.
The idea may still be in the child phase if you pull the Page of Wands reversed. Don’t give up on it totally, but just give it time to mature.
Alternatively, the Page of Wands reversed can mean that a project is doomed. However, you probably have a natural intuitive feeling about that, too. Again, it’s time to tune in.
Money-wise, the Page of Wands reversed is telling you to slow down. Don’t do anything rash. Instead, tune into your intuition and feel what’s right. Be very careful about making impulsive decisions with your finances.
As a person, the Page of Wands reversed shows someone who is immature, loud, aggressive, a hothead, a slacker, or even a bully or narcissist. It can show a young person heading down the wrong path. Alternatively, it indicates someone who has the right idea but has yet to fully grow up; they simply need more time to mature.
However, the Page of Wands reversed can also indicate someone who is feeling broken. They’re self-conscious, drained, or depressed. They feel that they have no direction in life.

Sun-Ascendant aspects are all about how you appear versus who you truly are. For this reason, I think these aspects are so interesting!
These Sun-Ascendant aspects will dictate if you show your true qualities to others or if you wear a mask, hiding who you truly are.
Many of these aspects are qualities that we’re born with. While they can’t be changed or erased, these aspects can be transmuted for your highest good. With any aspect, there is always a lesson.
Sun Conjunct Ascendant
If you have the Sun conjunct Ascendant aspect, you get noticed. You probably make a strong impression on others without even trying. In a group, people notice you quickly or may even watch you, mesmerized by your very being.
You have a magnetic personality in a super “sunny” way. Unless your Sun conjunct Ascendant aspect is in a sign like Scorpio, you don’t come off as dark at all. Your disposition and your style are both sunny and happy.
Around others, your entire self is on display. You appear very upfront and honest, but you’re also pretty charismatic. In fact, this Sun conjunct Ascendant placement can make you seem more like a Leo than like the sign that the conjunction is in.
However, there is the potential for you to become too egotistical. Because you know the influence and power that you naturally possess, it can go to your head if you let it. You must learn humility and that this natural power is a gift, not something to use for selfish reasons.
The goal with Sun conjunct Ascendant is to learn how to become more giving and caring towards others. It will be essential to be in many different types of relationships in order to learn this.
Sometimes, you may struggle to express the sign that is opposite of your Sun conjunct Ascendant sign. For example, if your Sun conjunct Ascendant is in Cancer, it can feel like Capricorn is an integral part of you that you’re never able to show.
It’s essential that you learn, in this lifetime, to express the opposite sign to those you’re close with and are in intimate relationships with. Your shadow self is even more hidden, so this takes extra work for you to deal with the shadow self.
You have a lot of leadership potential with Sun conjunct Ascendant. You’re honest, upfront, and forceful. However, you must learn to remember that your employees or coworkers are important, too. You possess a good deal of initiative and might be a self-starter in many areas.
Remember that not everyone else has the same skills as you, but everyone does possess a unique set of talents that are equally as important. They may have different motives that you. It’s easy for you to only see your primary agenda, but try to broaden your lens when working with others and put yourself in their shoes.
Ultimately, you are self-reliant and self-confident. You wear your heart on your sleeve and want to be recognized for your own work.
One of the best qualities of this Sun conjunct Ascendant placement is that you aren’t afraid to jump in and get things done! You believe wholeheartedly that you’re in control of your destiny and that anything you desire can become a reality.
Sun Trine Ascendant
With the Sun trine Ascendant aspect, you typically make a great first impression, You are charming and attractive. People are naturally drawn to you.
In fact, you have a talent for attracting people to you, so you’re probably popular and well-liked, at least by general standards. You have a lot of energy that puts out rather magnetic vibes.
Sun trine Ascendant means that it’s easy for you to make friends with others. This is a natural talent of sorts; you were born with these skills.
You do have an authority to your presence, but you’re not too strict or too egotistical. You simply have an important energy. Others aren’t confused by your identity; you show who you are and have a clear outer personality.
With this Sun trine Ascendant aspect, you can be a bit restless in life. You may find yourself jumping from one thing to the next. It’s easy for you to woo people, but you must remember to actually stick around and build relationships.
This Sun trine Ascendant aspect is an easy trine. However, this means you may also coast through life, taking the admiration that others give you for granted. You may gravitate towards the people who don’t give you this attention and try to woo them. Don’t forget that true relationships are built on much deeper foundations than just admiration.
Job-wise, you typically enjoy performing. This doesn’t only mean on stage (although you might like the spotlight). You can also “perform” with clients, in social grounds, playing sports, etc.
Sun Sextile Ascendant
With Sun sextile Ascendant, you express yourself quite openly, especially early in life. You’re probably charismatic and outgoing. People are quickly drawn towards you.
You are natural, easy to like, and friendly. You seem very open and approachable; nothing about your personality makes other people nervous.
Sun sextile Ascendant means that you also appear quite positive, especially when others first meet you. There is a sense of authority about you, but you come across as quite sincere instead of egotistical.
You also appear to be quite truthful. It’s rare for someone to question if you were telling the truth after meeting you. This is because you seem so self-aware and self-expressive.
Generally, Sun sextile Ascendant means that you’re outgoing. Keep in mind that this is flavored by the signs that both planets are in. A Cancer Ascendant individual will be less outgoing than someone with a Leo Ascendant.
However, Sun sextile Ascendant also means that you quickly grow bored or restless. You may move around a lot or bounce from thing to thing, especially in your younger years.
You have the opportunity to develop important leadership skills with this placement. You can cultivate a powerful, charismatic energy that takes you far in life.
With Sun sextile Ascendant, you also have the opportunity to develop into someone who flourishes in the public eye. However, unlike the trine, this will take a bit of work. Sun sextile Ascendant means that these outgoing, authoritative qualities aren’t totally natural to you, but they will be relatively easy to develop.
Remember to use your skills for good and for the benefit of others as well as yourself.
Sun Opposition Ascendant
With Sun opposition Ascendant, you struggle to fully express your identity unless you’re in a relationship. You need a companion to feel complete.
This partner may be a friend, business associate, or romantic significant other. This isn’t a solely romantic aspect. In fact, you probably feel more complete being around an enemy than you do by yourself.
You may not stay single for very long. If you are single, then you’ll need someone else by your side, such as a partner or best friend. This is also a common aspect for twins. You simply can’t truly express your identity unless you have someone else to help you do so.
There may be a conflict with how you express yourself if you have the Sun opposition Ascendant aspect. You feel as though everyone gets the wrong impression of you. For example, you may come off as soft (when you feel tough or cold inside) or vice-versa. Look at the signs that the Sun opposition Ascendant aspect sits in to determine how this happens.
You may have insecurities about the qualities of your rising sign, or may dislike that other people see you as this sign. It’s very common for people with Sun opposition Ascendant to feel disconnected from their rising sign, as though it isn’t really them, or is a false perception of who they are.
With Sun opposition Ascendant, you achieve confidence through intimate relationships. You need to get close enough to someone to reveal this hidden side of you.
Sometimes, you may attract partners who are more like your Sun sign than you are, at least outwardly.
Alternatively, this Sun conjunct Ascendant aspect can mean that you seek out approval from other people in order to feel confident. It’s as though your core sense of self is hidden, so you look to other people to define it for you. Shadow work and therapy focusing on boundaries can be helpful with this issue.
Be careful with this Sun conjunct Ascendant aspect that you don’t rely on others to define yourself. Instead, work to develop an inner sense of self by accessing the shadow side.
Sun Square Ascendant
With the Sun square Ascendant aspect, you have low self-esteem around others. You may feel like you always present a “bad” or disjointed picture. This placement can cause a good deal of social anxiety.
You may feel that your true personality doesn’t line up with how others see you. It’s as though you wear a mask in public. When people get to know you intimately, they might confirm that you appear completely different upon first meeting than you truly are.
However, because you have a need for approval from others, you keep that mask up most of the time. Even though it probably doesn’t work well or make you feel good, the mask is all you know. Look to the sign that the Ascendant is in to see the qualities of this mask. You show the qualities of you Ascendant sign in public, but don’t feel that it’s truly who you are.
Early in life, you sacrificed what you wanted, such as your goals or ambitions. This was necessary to keep a relationship going or to keep those around you happy, but you built up resentment over time.
Teachers or other authority figures didn’t like or notice you with Sun conjunct Ascendant. You developed your Ascendant’s mask to try and make yourself more pleasing in some way, but it never truly worked.
You felt easily misunderstood. You were insecure about how you appeared to others, or you may have felt as though you were always an imposter.
In fact, Sun square Ascendant is all about imposter syndrome. It’s like you’re pretending to be someone else, someone who doesn’t have the same goals or values that you do. As you work to develop self-confidence, these two pieces will grow closer to each other.
You will come to realize with Sun square Ascendant that you must be your true self instead of following how others expect you to live. One of the benefits of this Sun square Ascendant placement is that it forces you to rely only on yourself.
Ultimately, you won’t gain self confidence with Sun square Ascendant until you break through and go after your goals. It isn’t an easy path, but following your inner ambition is the only way to get self-respect and feel truly confident in public.
You probably won’t meet friends or partners who are truly right for you. There’s a lot of potential for shallow relationships with Sun square Ascendant. Others don’t appreciate you or put you down, but this will continue to happen until you let go of the past and focus on what’s good for you. It is only then that you will attract individuals who will lift you up.
With Sun square Ascendant, you are afraid that you will never grow into your full potential. The road ahead can feel really confusing. You can’t find a path to help people see who you really are.
The way through the difficulties of the Sun square Ascendant placement is to focus on your goals and beliefs rather than what others think of you. Action is really important here. You simply must do what feels right to you and your self-confidence will grow over time.
Keep in mind that you probably won’t ever be as charismatic as someone with Sun trine Ascendant might be. You do tend to get off on the wrong foot with others; they might even question your sincerity because they can feel that you’re not being your authentic self.
However, the goal with this placement isn’t to make others like you, but to have so many goals that feel right for you that you simply stop caring. Once you achieve this, you will appear much more authentic in public. Your mask will start to blend with your Sun Sign and others will see you as a mix of the two.
