I simply do not believe in overhead lighting after September. 🕯️

No but seriously… sometimes the whole house just f

No but seriously… sometimes the whole house just feels cranky.

Here are a few silly witch things I do when that happens (and none of them require buying any special tools):

1. Open the back door and sweep toward it like I can physically evict the bad mood.
2. Put something good-smelling on the stove until the kitchen stops feeling hostile. My favorite simmer pot is orange peel + cinnamon + rosemary.
3. Put a bowl of salt in the room that feels the worst, leave it there overnight, then throw the salt in the trash.
4. Leave a little bread or milk out for the house spirits because maybe they’re cranky too.

All jokes aside, I’m heavy on treating my house like it has an energy of its own.
